With a circuit approach, each round is 3 minutes with a 30-second break. Circuits include shadowboxing, jump rope, heavy bag, speed bag, and other boxing-related exercises to get you in your best shape.

We also offer a variety of other signature boxing-based classes such as Pedal + Punch™, Boxing + Beats, and Boxing + Bursts™.

BOXING CLASS FORMATS

Boxing – Our boxing fitness classes are 50 minutes of 3-minute rounds that include our fuel stations: heavy bags, one-on-one mitt work, uppercut/hook bag punches, speed bag workouts, plyometrics, and other complementary exercises that will get your heart rate up and bring on the sweat. The instructors teach and show technique and switch the exercises and stations to ensure each workout is as challenging and fun as the next!

BoxingX – This is our regular boxing fitness class, but the intensity is taken up a few notches to give you the same killer workout in 30 minutes. The rounds are shortened to 2 minutes, but the stations, one-on-one work, and the sweat is just the same!

Pedal Punch – Our FUEL Cycle Fitness signature class is the first class in the area to combine a 30-minute high-intensity indoor cycling class followed by 30 minutes of a sweat-inducing, calorie blasting boxing session – complete with heavy bags and mitt work – to give you a full FUEL CYCLE: cardio, strength, and cross-training workout!

Boxing+Beats– This cardio-boxing class is unique to FUEL. The boxing-inspired workout incorporates boxing moves and punches into a 45-minute class that uses punching combinations, strength training moves, and hand weights all to the beat of the music. The class ends with an intense core segment and mat work.

Boxing + Bursts– This 30-minute on and off the bag workout will get your heart pumping and your arms moving. Get your body warmed up during the first round and then head into 4-minute segments that combine heavy bag intervals with cardio intervals. This unique FUEL class maxes out at six so you will get personal attention and have plenty of time to work on your punches.

What to Expect…

A great workout! Come prepared to learn boxing techniques and to get sweaty. No experience is necessary and we provide the equipment, but feel free to bring your own gloves and wraps or purchase them at the studio when you arrive.

What to Bring

  • Wear exercise clothes – there are private changing stalls available if you need to pull a Superman.
  • Bring a water bottle (we have water stations for refills).
  • Bring a towel or use our complimentary towels.
  • Optional: Bring your own gloves or hand wraps (while hand wraps are not required, we do have wraps available for purchase ($7) and gloves that are free to borrow, or can be purchased ($35 for 12 or 14 oz.)).
